    Hi there,
(just realized I should have posted this here too)

I am planning on taking part in the MS Walk again this year on Sunday, April 19, 2009. This will be my 10th year of doing the Walk and third time doing it in Milton. This year I have two people in mind who I am doing this Walk for, in hopes of raising money to go towards finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. One is a young mom here in Milton, and the other is a dad who lives and has worked in Halton. Both are friends who have had their lives turned upside down because of MS, and I want to do my part to help out. This...

Not an event but I had to post about this company. I was at the Hamilton Sexapalooza show this past weekend and they had a booth there. They did a few stage shows and HOLY COW.... they are AMAZING. I have been to a lot of shows, seen my fair share of pole dancing demo's. These girls were amazing and it looked like dancing not just hanging and swinging around the pole. I plan on trying them out.... the shape of their bodies was outstanding and perhaps this is where my elusive abs are..... very resonable pricing.

Hubby & I took Remy to this last year...It was so much fun. All money raised goes toward helping children with Autism. I was loading our digital frame (FINALLY - It's only been sitting here for a month!!) and came across pics from last year's hunt. Afterwards I went on and found the details for this year's - we're definitely going again this year. It's so much fun, definitely kid-friendly and you raise money for a great cause. Just wanted to pass the info on to my fellow WM's...maybe I'll see some of you out on the hunt!?!?

It is put on by the National Service Dogs ... very well...

Is there anything else happening around the area besides the Maple Syrup Festival that would be fun to check-out? I am thinking about taking my girls to a new park that I heard about recently this afternoon at Dundas and Cross Street...(I am not sure if this is in Oakville...I am awaiting to hear back from my friend)...

I would love to know if there is any special events happening today, somewhere around Halton or near Halton...

I am encouraging myself to sign my kids up for summer camp this year. I use to go to camp for a week or two and think that is a great experience to have as a child. But I can't remember any of the camps I went to except Circle Square Ranch which is $500 for 5 days and Camp Wihanowin (sp) which is really expensive.

Does anyone send their kids off to summer camp for a week or so and if you do where do you send them?

I know the women on this site a very helping and supportive. I would like to spearhead a cause which is dire straights right now. Our food banks are running out of food and supplies for families in need. Especially, with this recession going on, people who are getting laid off can't find jobs, and have to go to the food banks to get food to feed they're families. I know each of use can spare a can, or a box of macaroni & cheese to a family in need. Please contact me if you can help, I feel we as moms we can make a diiference in many lives if we work together. Ok I was asked how much food/money we had raised so far for the
    Sally Ann.
Not including this weekend or the Day with the fire fighters
we have collected 4 bus loads or $2100 worth of food.

I can tell you today we filled the bus.
    Then there is tomorrow
and the companies that are challenging each other.

There is also talk about doing another food drive in March. For when the food runs and and people tend not to give.

oh and Bern I forgot the guys name who donated the signs but he is on Main st if that helps.

Just to let you know that the Milton Firefighters are teaming up with the Salvation Army for the yearly food drive.

    Date: Saturday December 6
    Time: 9-1

The food drive will run differently this year as with the new growth in Milton has made it logistically impossible for the firefighters to drive down each street. So with new growth came a new plan. The plan is that there will be several drop off locations around Milton with firetrucks and Firefighters and other volunteers staffing each drop off location. It should be fun for the kids.

    The locations are:...

I'm hoping to take my wee one to the parade on Sunday. We were supposed to go Oakville's parade last Saturday but it rained and she's a bit too young for me to force her to stand in the cold rain when she doesn't understand!

Does anyone have any recommendations for watching spots? Best spot? I'm hoping for something near the beginning so we can leave once the big man in red has been by and not have to wait the entire thing...it will already be a long day for her! Also, any idea how long it may be...so we could potentially go for 1/2 of it, depending on the weather!?!

    TIA...
