Milton Santa Claus Parade Empty Milton Santa Claus Parade

I'm hoping to take my wee one to the parade on Sunday. We were supposed to go Oakville's parade last Saturday but it rained and she's a bit too young for me to force her to stand in the cold rain when she doesn't understand!

Does anyone have any recommendations for watching spots? Best spot? I'm hoping for something near the beginning so we can leave once the big man in red has been by and not have to wait the entire thing...it will already be a long day for her! Also, any idea how long it may be...so we could potentially go for 1/2 of it, depending on the weather!?!

TIA ladies!

We are heading over to the parade for sure. WE are close to Grace Anglican church so we usually watch in front of the church

We have tickets to Mountsberg at the same time. I'm really sad, we've made it to the parade every other year and I think this year my son might be old enough to stay awake for Santa!

We'll be there. We usually park ourselves on Bronte - past LaRose plaza but not quite as far as the Vida Spa plaza....has worked great for us every year so far Smile

How long before the parade do you all get yourselves situated? I'm not worried about the girls sitting but a little worried about my 2.5 year old.

I missed the parade and heard a story that a little girl got hurt
It was said that one of the vehicles starting the parade had hit a little girl and sent her flying. I have not had a chance to read the news. Did this happen does anyone know? Is she ok omg I would be so paniced.

Ohmigoodness...We went, stood about 1/2way down the parade route on Main Street...We didn't hear anything. I hope the little girl is okay.

Faysmommy, I live on Barton St and that's where the Parade started, we stood at the corner of Barton and Bronte and all went smoothly as far as we could see! Surprised

Thats really strange. A women I had breakfast with said she was standing there and the guy was driving back and forth and hit her she went flying and hit her head on the ground and the father scooped her up and took her to the hospital instead of waiting for an ambulance. Maybe that is why no one is aware. Either that or this women is a amazing story teller.
