I think Brampton has the best event going! Hmmm! I hope my daughter can get her cast off this Friday!

Family Day in The Beaches! That would be fun to go to, if the day was really nice!

I am thinking about taking my girls to the Mandarin for lunch on Family Day since February 14th is Chinese New Year...I think my hubby is working a double shift that day...ohhhh, they would love it! They love chinese food, sushi, ice cream, treats, etc AND eating at a restaurant (something we do not do very often)...

The holiday price works out to:

$17 for adult; $8.50 for 5-12 years old; $2.00 for 4 and under...for the 4 of us to eat it would be $30.00

What is the best Mandarin to go to around the area? I am going to make a reservation...

I am going to take my girls to the Brampton location...that restaurant looks the nicest from their web-site! It looks pretty brand new! I love the huge palm trees Smile Then we will either head over to the Brampton's Winter Festival event on Bramalea Road - at least to roast some marshmallows and to see the ice sculptures...

we were up visiting my sister in Haliburton last year on family day, and they had an amazing set up...similar to brampton's and it was so much fun! i love small towns. Smile it's waaaayy too far to go for just one day, but the dog sled rides were awesome (although long lines, even for a small town), and the kids would love to do that again if they could! thanks for posting all the links!

I just made the reservation for the Mandarin in Brampton and got the last reservation for the 11:30 am to 1:30 pm time-slot on Family Day! I guess it is a busy day for them!

I am so excited we got into the Garden Room where they have their big Waterfall and it is close to the buffet and washrooms! We are all set!

This thread is linked to the calendar. So if you want a quick way to find Family Day activites without trying to search for this thread, just go to the calendar!!

I added Debra's links to the opening post.
